Web Accessibility Analyst
Our government agency client is looking for a Web Accessibility Analyst for an interim role with the possibility of extension. In this role you will be conducting web accessibility testing against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. You will be supporting end-user activities and review test results to ensure accessibility specifications/requirements are met. You will analyze existing processes, create process maps and workflow documents and develop inclusive solutions that remove barriers and ensure a positive user experience for all users.
Qualifications
You have more than 3 years of demonstrated experience conducting web accessibility testing against WCAG 2.0 using assistive technologies and testing tools (JAWS, NVDA, Wave, Nu HTML, Colour Contrast Analyzers, aChecker, etc);
You have hands-on experience in front-end development technologies (HTML5, CCS3, Bootstrap, Angular, etc.) to build web applications that confirm to WCAG 2.0;
You have demonstrated experience using Agile tools (Jira) and MS Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint;
You have the ability to work under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines and have excellent problem-solving skills;
You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization’s hierarchy including executives.
