Senior Internal Auditor
Our public sector client is seeking a skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join their team for this long-term interim opportunity.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and participating in audits across multiple domains, including financial, operational, information systems, and compliance. You will work closely with various business units to identify risks, assess internal controls, and recommend practical solutions to enhance operations and governance. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will also be tasked with developing detailed audit plans, conducting risk assessments, and preparing comprehensive audit reports that drive improvements in internal controls and business processes.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are an asset.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in internal auditing, including 2 years in a capital-intensive or regulated industry (e.g., I&IT, banking).
- In-depth knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and current auditing best practices.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
