We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist to support a public sector client on complex enterprise data initiatives involving health information management, governance activities, stakeholder engagement, and operational data coordination.
This role will play a key part in advancing enterprise data governance practices, improving data quality and consistency, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale data initiatives across complex and highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to project leadership, you will:
Lead and coordinate data governance and information management initiatives
Partner with internal stakeholders, sector partners, and technical teams to support enterprise data priorities
Drive data standards, governance processes, and operational alignment activities
Lead stakeholder consultations, business process discussions, and requirements gathering sessions
Translate business and operational needs into practical data governance and reporting solutions
Oversee data discovery, data mapping, and documentation activities
Coordinate project timelines, reporting, and executive-level updates across multiple stakeholder groups
Prepare briefing materials, presentations, governance documentation, and strategic reports
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Experience working within public sector, healthcare, or highly regulated environments
Strong expertise in data governance, information management, and data quality principles
Experience leading enterprise data initiatives and cross-functional coordination activities
Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination capabilities
Experience preparing executive-level reports, presentations, and governance materials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
