Reconciliation Specialist

Our public sector client is looking for Reconciliation Specialists to support their office in North York for an immediate long-term opportunity. The work assignment will be focused on performing the financial year-end settlement function i.e., ensuring proper reporting of revenue and expenses, ensuring funding has been accurately expended, recovering any unspent funding at year-end (per provincial legislation, all ministry funds must be spent in the year they were cash flowed), and other duties as required by the needs of the role.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst role, and have extensive working knowledge in public accounting and reconciling financial information;
  • You have completed or are working toward a professional designation (i.e, CPA, CMA, CFA);
  • Your have extensive experience analyzing financial statements and settlement reporting and/or reconciliation;
  • You have working knowledge in forecasting, budgeting, reporting practices and GAAP;
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, and are an excellent problem solver;
  • You are methodical, organized, and excel in a fast-paced environment;
  • You are able to go fully onsite for the training period but are also comfortable to work in a hybrid model after the training period.
