We are in search of an analytical Procurement Officer to deliver procurement expertise to our public sector client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition of IT goods, services, and consulting services.
You will provide expert advice on procurement strategies and ensure compliance with relevant government policies and directives. Your duties will include developing and managing the procurement process for IT products and services, creating technical specifications, and collaborating with clients to develop evaluation criteria.
Qualifications:
A degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Information Technology, or a related field,
Background in procurement and contract management.
In-depth knowledge of government procurement policies, processes, and legislation.
Familiarity with the RFX process, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
Knowledge of FIPPA requirements and handling sensitive information.
Analytical skills to assess procurement proposals and evaluate market conditions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong negotiation skills, particularly in resolving disputes and managing contract performance.
Ability to work independently, organize high volumes of work, and track procurement-related deliverables.
