Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs. This role involves creating tailored OH&S policies and training for both outdoor front-line workers and organizational leaders across various departments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels, incorporating input from leadership and front-line teams to build practical, effective, and compliant safety programs.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Occupational Health & Safety program development, training, and policy implementation.
- Experience working within unionized environments is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with systems such as Parklane and SharePoint is helpful but not required.
- Prior experience supporting safety programs for field-based or outdoor operational staff is highly beneficial.
