Ontario Health is seeking a Lead Business Analyst, Data Governance, a strategic role that will be responsible for supporting the development of authoritative data asset management for both internal and external stakeholders. This role will support and lead on aspects of work as assigned by the Director, Data for Connected Health, to ensure that authorities, accountabilities, and controls for enterprise data management are formalized and consistently applied across OH to enable the use of data as an enterprise asset.
The Lead BA will provide guidance and support to staff accountable for the implementation of the data governance framework at an enterprise level as well as provide oversight in its application per data holding. This position will establish a coordinated approach to metadata that includes the development of corporate policies and processes and ensuring they are followed and monitored in a consistent manner. This position will also be responsible for a coordinated approach to data governance that assists in achieving objectives of the Provincial Cyber Security Operating Model via the Ontario Health Cyber Security Centre and other provincial programs. Close collaboration and partnership with Ontario Health’s privacy program will also be core to the role.
The Lead BA is responsible for working with customers and leading teams of Business Analysts to understand business needs and translating these needs into documented functional and non-functional requirements for implementation in Ontario Health Digital Excellence in Health products. The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring best practices in requirements analysis, solutioning practices, and client negotiations. Leads the development of solution prototypes and mock-ups for review with customers and internal teams, supports the overall systems development lifecycle, and validates successful implementation of requirements in solutions produced. As a Lead, this position is a key interface between management, solutions architecture, development, quality, and operations teams to ensure customer excellence.
