We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to support a growing communications and stakeholder outreach portfolio with our broad public sector client.
This 6-month interim role will provide strategic and operational communications support across initiatives requiring clear messaging, stakeholder alignment, and structured engagement planning. You will work closely with program teams and senior leaders to ensure consistent, effective communication that supports organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement communications and stakeholder engagement plans
Provide strategic messaging advice to leadership and project teams
Draft high quality materials including briefing notes, key messages, speaking notes, presentations, and internal communications
Support change initiatives through structured communications planning
Conduct stakeholder analysis and coordinate outreach activities
Prepare executive level materials and status updates
Manage multiple communications deliverables and timelines
Qualifications
Experience in communications roles within OPS or Broader Public Sector environment
Strong understanding of public sector governance and approvals processes
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and outreach experience
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
