Screening Representative Interim/Temporary

We are looking for Screening Representatives for full-time, interim opportunities with our clients in the Public and Non-profit sectors. In these roles you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with related legislation and regulations while screening applications on behalf of vulnerable adults in Ontario. You will also review applications and evaluates the suitability of applicants, identify and investigate allegations, and provide direction and assistance to clients regarding the status of their application and any concerns they may have.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing management plans and addressing issues related to applications submitted;
  • Investigating allegations and mediating disputes among applicants;
  • Providing guidance to clients during application completion and addressing deficiencies;
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory limitations, standards, and proposing policy enhancements;
  • Conducting property searches, analyzing financial information, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders;
  • Assisting in compiling documentation for clients’ income tax returns.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of experience of relevant administrative experience, prior OPS experience is an asset;
  • You have knowledge of various legislations including, Substitute Decisions Act, the Family Law Act and the Mental Health Act;
  • You have working knowledge of basic accounting principles in order to successfully analyze ad hoc financial information;
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Word and have experience using software such as WordPerfect etc;
  • You are a reasonable and analytical thinker, and have excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • BILINGUALISM (English and French) is considered an asset.
