Our esteemed client in the public sector is looking for an Accounting Specialist to augment their team in this long-term temporary to permanent opportunity. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and outstanding communication abilities.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Efficiently process accounts payable transactions, verifying details and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies.
- Execute payments and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with month-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated (2 years’ experience) experience in accounting, accounts payable or similar role.
- Proficient in accounting software, preferably Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment.
