Accounting Lead
We are currently seeking an Accounting Lead for our client in the public sector to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role will also involve leading a team, fostering professional growth while ensuring operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- University degree or College diploma in Accounting or a related field.
- Working toward or holds a recognized professional designation (CPA, PLP, etc.).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting with supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in managing full accounting cycles and resolving complex accounting discrepancies.
- Ability to develop, document, and implement accounting policies and processes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various levels of staff.
- Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP standards and financial reporting regulations.
