The Species Conservation Action Agency (SCAA) is a provincial Agency established in September 2021, by regulation under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA)*, to administer the Species at Risk Conservation Fund for the purpose of funding activities to protect and recover species at risk. The Agency, with oversight from its Board of Directors, will focus on funding strategic, large-scale, and coordinated actions to support positive outcomes for conservation fund species.
*Under O. Reg. 651/21, the Species at Risk Conservation Trust was established; it is commonly known as the Species Conservation Action Agency.
