About Us
Headquartered in Toronto, Building Ontario Fund (BOF) is a Crown Agency, established in 2024, to facilitate investment by trusted institutional investors in critically needed large-scale infrastructure projects within the province.
Our mandate is to invest in, and attract investment from, qualified institutional investors, public sector entities, governments, and Indigenous communities in revenue-generating infrastructure projects located in Ontario that serve the public interest. We do this by:
- Investing in infrastructure and appropriately allocating risks among BOF and other investors
- Structuring proposals and negotiating agreements with investors
- Receiving and assessing unsolicited infrastructure ideas and proposals
- Providing advisory services related to infrastructure financing
