Our client is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Finance Planning & Analysis for a long-term assignment to provide strategic financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and business insights to support organizational decision-making.
This is a business-facing finance role for an experienced professional who can work closely with senior leadership, translate complex financial information into actionable insights, and support budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and revenue and cost strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support annual operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support organizational priorities and decision-making.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, financial performance, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic planning, resource allocation, and new initiatives.
- Prepare and present clear financial reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support government funding, financial reporting, and related financial planning requirements.
- Maintain effective financial processes, controls, and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience, including strong experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, variance analysis, and operational reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, including GAAP.
- Experience working within a complex or matrixed organization and partnering with senior executives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into practical business recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with NetSuite is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
