Our client in the public sector is seeking an experienced Fractional Director, People & Culture for an interim leadership assignment.
This senior-level role will provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership with a strong focus on labour relations, collective agreement administration, and supporting leaders within a highly unionized public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight across People & Culture functions
Lead complex labour relations matters including grievances, investigations, discipline, accommodations, and conflict resolution
Support interpretation and administration of large public sector collective bargaining agreements
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational change
Ensure compliance with Ontario labour legislation and public sector HR best practices
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive HR and labour relations leadership experience
Strong public or broader public sector experience within unionized environments
Direct experience supporting collective agreements, grievance processes, and labour strategy
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and advisory skills
CHRL/CHRE designation considered an asset
Flexible to work onsite or hybrid as required
