Our client in the public sector is seeking a skilled IT Auditor for a short-term assignment.
This role focuses on leading and conducting IT audit and advisory engagements to assess risks, evaluate controls, and support compliance with policies, standards, and legislation. You will review IT governance, systems, and security controls, identify gaps, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve processes and service delivery.
You will also prepare reports for senior stakeholders, contribute to audit planning, and collaborate with business and technology teams to support risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience in IT auditing, risk management, or advisory within public or complex environments
Strong understanding of IT controls, cybersecurity, and governance frameworks
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., FIPPA, PHIPA, PIPEDA)
Relevant post-secondary education; certifications (CISA, CIA, CISSP) are assets
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
