Our client in the broader public sector is seeking a skilled Finance Assistant for a long-term assignment.
This is a hands-on support role that will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will process invoices, reconcile accounts, and support budget tracking and reporting activities. You will assist with month-end and year-end procedures, ensuring compliance with financial policies and deadlines.
You will also support internal teams with financial queries, contribute to process improvements, and maintain organized documentation for audits and reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hands-on experience with A/P and A/R, including manual cheque processing and filing.
Experience with bank deposits, monthly reconciliations, and GL reporting and analysis
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical/problem-solving skills
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively
